If you wish to apply for a free or discounted grant towards cavity wall and/or loft insulation, you can either:

• Complete an online application
• Complete an energy survey/self assessment form
• Complete a doorstep assessment (with our assessment team)

Your information is kept in strict confidence and used to determine if you are eligible for free measures or discounted measures.

Our team of home energy advisors are currently visiting all privately owned homes accross Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle-under-Lyme asking householders to complete a short questionnaire.

Once we have processed your application we can determine the following:

• If your home requires loft or cavity wall insulation
• The energy efficiency rating of your home
• Whether you qualify for a free or discounted grant

If your home requires insulation work, you will recieve a letter from North Staffordshire Warm Zone confirming whether you qualify for a free or discounted grant.

Your details will then be passed on to our surveyors who will contact you by phone to arrange a date for a free home survey. A surveyor will then visit your home to carry out the survey and check the following:

• If the loft and walls in your home are suitable for insulation measures
• If there are any obstructions preventing insulation measures being installed
• If the evidence you provide for the free grant is acceptable

Once the survey has been completed and you wish to proceed, our contractors will contact you to arrange a date for the work to be completed. Our contractors are well established companies who employ fully qualified staff to insulate your home.

We also perform quality assessment checks on certain homes to check that our customers are happy with the work and to ensure that our contractors are providing a good service.
